Iroquois people needed quick and simple ways to transport from place to place. They did this by making things such as snowshoes to travel on land and canoes to travel on the water. The canoes were also used to make fishing easier for these people. If these people were to just walk with shoes or barefooted they would fall through all the snow. They made both snowshoes and canoes by themself with the resources they had around them.
