All the men in a longhouse hunted together. Sometimes their children would tag along for fun and it was a learning experience for the children. The men also traded the goods they collected for the other items they needed to survive. The men made bows, fishing poles, spoears, arrows and other weapons so they were able to hunt which meant they could provide food for the other people in the longhouse. Men also smoked and grew their own crops to make the tobacco.
